After such a fantastic day, it was hard to believe things could get better here in L.A.. But get better they did. Hit the jump as I go into my experience with Army of Two: The 40th Day, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers, Final Fantasy: Dissidia, and of course, Mass Effect 2.
Three days ago, on June 2nd, Shigeru Miyamoto held a roundtable conference with selected members of the gaming press. During the conference, Miyamoto revealed the first sampling of the next Legend of Zelda game for Wii: a painting of a slightly older Link and a mysterious woman in a blue robe. One of the biggest surprises of E3 has been the announcement of New Super Mario Bros. for the Wii. It is one part New Super Mario from the DS and one part Super Smash Bros. from the Wii. Put together you get an amazingly fun party platformer that you can play co-operatively or competitively.
THQ has announced the next title in their Drawn to Life series of games. Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter, will be seeing releases for both the Wii and Nintendo DS and will feature enhanced drawing tools and new creative tools for exploring worlds they have created.
Ryu Hyabusa's last adventure was on Xbox 360 for the past year. This fall Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 will be released on the PlayStation 3 with loads upgrades, updates, and even new playable characters. Being such a huge Ninja Gaiden fanboy, I had to get some playtime with Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2.
A new Metal Gear Solid game was announced for the PSP this week at E3. Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker looks to be a good addition to the series, but the whole four Snakes thing is strange. As long as this isn't Legend of Otacon: The Four Snakes, it should turn out good.
During Konami's E3 press conference, Hideo Kojima announced his newest non-Metal Gear Solid game, and it is the next Castlevania game, Lords of Shadow. Coming in 2010 to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, this looks to be the best 3D game in the series yet. And, since Kojima is at the helm, you can also expect over an hour of cutscenes!
