Atlus Brings us Master of the Monster Lair
Posted: June 19, 2008 - 7:08 pm by Matt
 Master of the Monster Lair

In my continuing effort to post Atlus news, today they announced a new dungeon-designing, monster-hunting RPG adventure titled Master of the Monster Lair for Nintendo DS. This game looks as cool as ever and mixes your traditional RPG madness with what looks to be some cool strategy.

Dream it, design it, dig it… then explore it! In order to trap the freeloading monsters of South Arc, you must become the architect of a vast labyrinth, crafting intricate levels designed to lure and capture all manner of beasts. Level after level, every monster disposed of offers the promise of new weapons and items, allowing for more unique dungeon designs and more efficient means of ridding South Arc of the nasty baddies.

Master of the Monster Lair is set to hit shelves on September 2. Check out the screenshots in the gallery below.

Meh, another generic RPG brought to us by Atlus. All of the games they publish are about the same. Not fun.

If it wasn't for risk taking pioneered by Atlus, Video games would taste a lot staler than they are today.

Trauma Center: Generic RPG, would be a good title for the TC games your saying? Also the Ogre games, but I guess those are just generic too, along with snowboard kids and the original guilty gear.

IMO Atlus classics left more of an impact than mainstream games. For Exmple; Crusader of Centy = Zelda, but I still think Crusaders better than any top down Zelda (In both depth of story and gameplay)

I haven't played a lot of games on that list, but most of the ones I have are amazing.

Yep, I start my shopping early to beat the rush.
Nope, I usually procrastinate, and wait until the last minute.
