How long does it take Sony to fix a broken software update? Looks like about a week. As most of you know the PS3 firmware update v2.40 was released last week, but had to taken offline temporarily because, for a limited number of users, the XMB wouldn’t display after the update was installed.

Now it appears that Sony has fixed the problem and are preparing the release of v2.41. The update should be released shortly so keep an eye out if you have yet to update you system. We'll let you know you when the update is live.
