If you have any love for 8 bit sounds of days gone by or love for avant garde electronic music then get on over to Pictchfork.tv & watch the "Reformat The Planent" full length documentary. The film talks to all the major artists in the chiptune music scene & covers their first yearly festival held in New York called Blipfest. For those of you not familiar with chiptune music, its basically electronic music made with old Game Boys. Not DS'es, not PSPs, the 1989 hulking grey beast Game Boy. Tunes are usually pretty fast & upbeat, some canbe dark & harsh, others integrate regular instruments while backed with Game Boy sounds. Its a very awesome film to sit back & watch people make cool stuff out of video game tech instead of just playing games.
