Do you love the PlayStation 2 gaming system? How would you like a chair made of them? Sounds a bit uncomfortable doesn't it, but Pli Design Ltd of London has a solution to this predicament. The Reee chair, features a seat and back made of 100% recycled PlayStation 2 gaming consoles.

According to a press release, "Each chair uses 2.4 kg of recycled plastic and the chair parts are designed to be disassembled at the end of their life and recycled again and again." and uses less energy to manfacture than products made of non-recycled plastics.

The Reee chair launch will take place at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, on September 10, 2008 at 6:30pm.

I pose this question, are there really enough used and broken PS2's availible in the whole of England to actually warrent a steady production of these chairs? Also, it is just me or does the thing look like a glorified patio chair?
