Sony has stated that starting Janurary 1st of 2009 every game released will have trophy support out of the box. No more wondering "will it or won't it" for any game comming out next year. Sure it's as useless as your Xbox Gamerscore, but it at least is a driving force for people to do something more with their games beyond just completing the story.

Couple this with Home (whenever that comes out) and PlayStation 3 is up there in features of the other consoles. Now if only Nintendo would get with the program and come up with some kind of system for marking accomplishments.
