Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Tony Hawk and More Detailed at Massive Event
Posted: December 3, 2008 - 5:29 pm by Matt

Details on many upcoming Activision Blizzard titles have been released today at an event in New York held by Massive Inc. The in-game advertising company holds events where publishers can show up upcoming games in order to draw in potential advertisers.

MTV is reporting that Call of Duty 6 has been officially titled Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, and is scheduled to release in the fall of 2009.

Details on the next version of Tony Hawk was also mentioned. The new Tony Hawk will see release late next year and it is now known that, "You’re not going to be playing this game with a controller in your hands". Hopefully this series can regain some of it's former glory but unfortunately I don't think that depending on a peripheral is the way to go.

A few more titles were mentioned, including Guitar Hero 5 and a new James Bond racing title although no real details were released.

Another COD title already? Isn't one a year a bit much?

Call of Duty should implement a 3rd person Camera Toggle. Change something up for Gods sake.

I don't like COD5, but I'm a fan of COD4. This is good news to me.

No Hands Tony Hawk?! Lovely, because we all need more hunks of plastic controllers that work with only 1 game laying about the house. Thanks Activision.

Ah, I was hoping for CoD 6 to be set in the near future, similar to Battlefield 2142. But another Modern Warfare is definitely good news for me, as I absolutely adore CoD 4. Just please, no martyrdom.

"Curiously, the lineup included absolutely no Blizzard Entertainment games."
