Sega Unsure About Yakuza 3 For North America
Posted: January 19, 2009 - 8:30 pm by markdelete

It is no secret that Japanese gaming in North American is hitting rock bottom. Only serving the small niche market for the most dedicated fans which sadly doesn't add up to a whole lot of sales. The North American fate of Yakuza 3 is now undecided. Seeing that Yakuza 1 and 2 didn't hit big over here, Sega is cautious about releasing the 3rd act in the series. Maybe they just like teasing us Sega fans with immersive world games and then denying us a third part or finishing the story.

It seems Sega has not learned the error of their ways with Shenmue as we are most likely to be lamenting for Yakuza 3 as well. Japan Yakuza fans get their 3rd game on February 26th.

Played part 1 Import and NTSC. Snatched up Part 2 on PS2 when it released. Gamefaqs + Import Yakuza 3 is fine with me.
