Lord of the Rings is leaving EA and going back to the original rights holders, New Line Cinema, which is owned by Warner Bros. It seems the contracted time with EA lapsed at the end of 2008 but was given an extension to finish the awful LOTR: Conquest game. No news on anyone else working with the Lord of the Rings license in the gaming realm but does anyone even want more half assed games based on the movies? I say give us the movies on Blu-Rays and sail far away with the elves.
