New Skate 2 DLC Adds New Skater
Posted: April 1, 2009 - 11:26 am by Jeremy

Electronic Arts has released details on the next Skate 2 DLC and it brings new meaning to "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em". That's why as of tomorrow, you will be able to download the Tony Hawk Content Pack for Skate 2. EA has worked out a limited deal with Activision allowing for not only the usage of Tony Hawk himself, but the recreation of a few classic spots from previous Tony Hawk games. Included in the DLC pack is the Hangar in Mullet Falls from THPS2, and the all-time classic Warehouse from THPS1. Hit the jump for the full details.

"Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ:ERTS) announced today that gamers will be able to extend their Skate 2 experience with the download of the new Tony Hawk Content Pack, starting tomorrow in the PLAYSTATION® Store for $5.00 in North America and on XBox LIVE Marketplace for 400 points. The downloadable content features the legendary Tony Hawk as a playable character, a series of new pro challenges, and popular locations from previous Tony Hawk's Pro Skater games.

"I’ve been involved with skateboarding video games since the very beginning and am honored to star in Skate 2", said skateboarder legend, Tony Hawk. "I can't wait to give players a taste of the Warehouse, a classic area from my first game. The team at Black Box has recreated the area perfectly in Skate 2, complete with all the ledges, gaps and rails. On top of all that, there’s still a lot more surprises outside the parks that both gamers and skaters will enjoy."

So it is true? I heard this was coming and it makes sense.

Should be interesting to see if they run with this across other titles.

holy shit. The warehouse was one of my favorite levels ever. I could 100% it on 1 run.

Ya, I think I got to the point I could finish it off with 30 secs left, or so.
