One of the first of what I'm sure will become many Limited Edition versions of the DSi has just been announced by Capcom for release exclusively in Japan. To promote the next game in the Ace Attorney series, Miles Edgeworth: Turnabout Prosecutor, Capcom is bundling the game with a custom DSi labeled with the mascot of the in-game police force, Taihokun, also known state-side as the Blue Badger. The bundle will sell for 23,940 yen, or $240.

It's too bad the US misses out on so much of these sorts of offers. I just picked up the Phoenix Wright games, and I've spent more than a few weeknights up until 6 in the morning trying to finish 'that last case', so something like this does look pretty appealing. Importing is always an option, but because of the new security in the DSi, you'll find it hard to play any US games on it. At least I can take comfort in that my engraved DS Lite is still cooler.

For all you other Ace Attorney fans, this news means that a US release date can't be too far off for Miles Edgeworth: Turnabout Prosecutor.
