Yu Suzuki Retires from Creative Officer Position at Sega
Posted: April 5, 2009 - 2:36 am by markdelete

Yu Suzuki is "retiring" from the R&D department at Sega. Yu gave us some of the greatest Sega games ever created with Out Run, Space Harrier, After Burner, Virtua Fighter and the DigitalSomething favorite, Shenmue. Yu Suzuki will now be working in "diminished capacity" at Sega's AM Plus department.

Looks like we can pretty much quit dreaming about Shenmue 3 being made with Yu involved. *sob* Though there could hope that someone else gives us the conclusion to Shenmue and finally finds those sailors. Thanks for the memory cards Yu Suzuki.

With all due respect, my beloved SEGA hasn't given us much lately.

Agreed, MadWorld counts but rereleased ports don't count.
