Contra Rebirth Announced For WiiWare

Earlier today, a webpage announcing Contra Rebirth popped up on Konami's Japanese website. The game seems to be a new 2D side-scrolling shooter just like the other Contra games. In addition to boasting beautiful 2D graphics, the game also features local co-op play. Contra Rebirth will be hitting the WiiWare service in Japan on May 12th of this year while the rest of the world will probably have to wait a while.
