Sony has announced an update to the PlayStation 3 Folding@Home client, which will "soon" be available to download. The update brings two major changes to the distributed computing project: You can set a timer for the program, after which the PS3 can will itself down after sending all data to Stanford University.

Look out your window. Do you see flying pigs? Well I wouldn't be surprised as 3D Realms has confirmed via a forum post on the company's official forums, that a teaser trailer for Duke Nukem Forever will be released tomorrow around noon. No seriously.

The Entertainment Software Association today announced that the E3 Media & Business Summit will be returning to the Los Angeles Convention Center for next year's event. The 2007 summit was held in Santa Monica with events scattered about as publishers held their own small events in suites at hotels and other small venues. Many complained that this setup took too much time, as one was spending valuable time commuting from one event to another.

Last week we heard word that EA was working on yet another Command & Conquer FPS. Today the title was officially announced as Tiberium, a squad-based first person shooter set in the Command & Conquer universe.

Hot on the heels of the Xbox 360 fall update, Sony is pushing out version 2.10 of the PlayStation 3 firmware tomorrow. This update brings the media features of the PS3 back up to par with the Xbox 360. Unfortunately in-game XMB access is still missing.

This weeks set of releases is once again a bit sparse, but there are a few gems out there. The long awaited sequel to the Sega Saturn hit NiGHTS: Into Dreams, NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams is out now for the Wii, as well as the PS2 version of Rock Band. So get ready to turn your dreams up to 11!
