Despite disappointing sales of the first Mirror's Edge, EA CEO John Riccitiello has confirmed that the franchise will continue. Electronic Arts has now stated that a small team is now at work on the sequel.

Speaking to Videogamer.com, EA Europe VP Patrick Soderlund said:

"You will see another Mirror's Edge for sure, it's just a matter of when that time is and what we do with it. We have a small team on it and I'm excited about what we do."

Hopefully we'll have more information soon. For now just take that as what it is, confirmation that the originally planned trilogy will continue.
