Tex Murphy Available at GOG
Posted: June 17, 2009 - 3:24 pm by Brandon

For those of you who don't recognize the name Tex Murphy, you missed one of the greatest point and click adventure games of all time. The first three games have been released so far, with the other two on the horizion and if you consider yourself a fan of the old school adventure games, you owe it to yourself to check these titles out. More details after the jump.

Tex Murphy is no super-hero. He's just about as ordinary as a private investigator can be. Even though he lives in mid-21st century post-World War III San Francisco, he's your typical film noir detective. Like every self-respecting private eye Tex is divorced, always broke, dressed in a well-tailored trench coat, likes to have a drink or two and constantly gets himself into trouble.

The first two titles, Mean Streets and Martian Memorandum are bundled together for only $5.99. These two, Mean Streets in particular, are a little rough around the edges. Under A Killing Moon, the third title of the series is available for $9.99 and is a huge improvement on gameplay and storyline from the first two. Check out all the Tex Murphy titles out here.
