No LAN Play in StarCraft II
Posted: June 29, 2009 - 8:00 pm by Matt

Blizzard senior VP Rob Pardo confirmed today that the company's upcoming RTS sequel StarCraft II will not feature LAN multiplayer support. The StarCraft series has long been a popular choice for LAN parties and tournaments.

The feature has been cut due to what is being called "planned technology" that is going to be incorporated into Battle.net. No further details were given. Hopefully a few questions will be answered with the StarCraft II beta test begins later this summer.

This is suuuuuuuuuuuuuch bs. Seriously what is Blizzard thinking??

I'm beginning to think the Activision-Blizzard merger was the beginning of the end of a too-good-to-be-true thing
