Do you like using your DSi, but find those screens just too gosh darn small?  Do you wish that Nintendo would make a new version, in more sophisticated, old person colors and a screen 93 percent bigger than the DS Lite?  Wish no more, because Nintendo has officially announced the DSi LL (in Japan, LL is used in place of XL)!  This system is specifically designed with you in mind.  The screen is 4.2inches, and this means, of course, that the entire system will also be bigger.  The DSi LL will come with two different size stylus, with one being normal size and the other being about the size of a tablet pen.  It will also be available in three colors: Dark Brown, Wine Red, and Natural White.  There will also be three pre-loaded DSiWare titles. 

Probably the only issue here is the fact that the resolution is going to be the same, and with the screens being that much bigger, I don't foresee that looking too hot.  But, hey, if you are old and seeing small things are hard for you, this might make it a little easier on your failing eyesight.  You can pick this up on November 21, for ¥20,000.  Or if you are in Europe (where it will be known as the XL), you can pick one up sometime in Q1 for a little more than the DSi.

UPDATE: Nintendo has announced that the DSi XL will also be available in North America in early 2010.
