Ignition and Marvelous Have A Deadly Premonition
Posted: November 11, 2009 - 5:56 pm by Brandon

The publishing duo behind the release of Muramasa: The Demon Blade have teamed up again to bring this latest offering from Access Games. Dubbed Deadly Premonition, the game is a low budget Silent Hill styled psychological horror survival game. Slated for an early 2010 release with a $20 price tag, Deadly Premonition could be a cost effective way to get your Silent Hill on. And hey, even if it shares themes with Silent Hill, it's gotta be better than Homecoming, right? Trailer and full press release after the break. Be sure to check out the gallery of screens too.

IGNITION ENTERTAINMENT AND ACCESS GAMES TAKE MYSTERY GENRE TO NEXT LEVEL WITH 2010 RELEASE OF DEADLY PREMONITION

Third Person Action-Thriller Comes to the Xbox 360® in Early 2010

Glendale, CA – November 10th, 2009 – In early 2010, Ignition Entertainment Ltd., a UTV Enterprise, a worldwide publisher and developer of videogames is working in conjunction with Marvelous Entertainment to give gamers a glimpse into Deadly Premonition, a third-person survival horror action game releasing in North America on the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft.

Deadly Premonition, developed by Access Games, is a third-person survival horror action game which puts players in the role of the intuitive FBI Agent Francis York Morgan. In the process of investigating a murder, players will examine a series of interlocking mysteries in a remote rural town and will encounter an array of complex characters pivotal to the unraveling of the storyline’s mystery. Suspenseful action sequences will force players to make strategic moves, gliding by enemies in the shadows or engaging them with long-range weapons or hand-to-hand melee combat. From the unparalleled atmosphere, music and mysterious storyline to driving vehicles and exploring the entire town, Deadly Premonition will offer players a unique and haunting interactive gaming experience unlike any other.

“Deadly Premonition is an intense and unforgettable action game that we are thrilled to add to Ignition’s 2010 lineup,” said Shane Bettenhausen, New Business Development Director of Ignition Entertainment. “The gifted developers at Access Games have created a game that will undoubtedly heighten players’ senses as they dive deeper into the mysterious town, eerie story line and action-packed interactive elements.”

“Ignition Entertainment has done an incredible job finding and targeting each game’s primary audience and we could not be more excited to team up with them to publish Deadly Premonition,” said Hidetaka Suehiro, Director, Access Games. “We’ve developed the graphic styling and game play of Deadly Premonition to uniquely trigger the suspenseful emotions in every player. We promise an astounding ending if you can meet the challenge to solve the mystery and make it there!”

Additional information about the game can be found at the game’s official website:www.deadlypremonition.com , on Twitter: www.twitter.com/deadlypremonition and on Facebook: www.facebook.com/deadlypremonition

The game doesn't quite look next-gen for a 360 title, but if it can deliver on game play and story, Deadly Premonition looks like it might be a pretty good bargain for $20. How do you all think it looks?
