Grab Your Poké Balls, Another Special Event Pokémon Coming
Posted: February 2, 2010 - 12:15 am by Scott

The Pikachu-colored Pichu event at GameStop has just started and it would seem that the GameStop and Pokémon train can't be stopped. They recently announced that they are giving away another rare Pokémon, Jirachi. Just like the Pikachu-colored Pichu that is being offered now through February 14, Jirachi also holds a secret for the upcoming HeartGold and SoulSilver Pokémon titles.

When you trade this Jirachi into either Pokémon HeartGold or SoulSilver, you will unlock a special route for the Pokéwalker pedometer accessory that is included in both versions of the game. The special route is called Night Sky's Edge, which will include additional Pokémon and items to collect in a series of Tamagotchi-like mini games, allowing any items gathered or Pokémon captured to be brought back into HeartGold of SoulSilver.

Jirachi will be given away starting February 27th and ending March 13th. Anyone who wishes to collect this special Pokémon, must have already recieved their Pokédex as well as unlock the Mystery Gift mode in their copy of Pokémon Diamond, Pearl or Platinum.
