The Sims 3 Gets Ambitious
Posted: March 4, 2010 - 2:21 pm by Scott
With the release of a new Sims game, you can bet to find a multitude of expansions made for it. Most of these expansions usually add a new location, or job ladders, more house decor/clothing or even pets. Expansions come with the territory when you are talking about The Sims, and The Sims 3 is no exception. But never before has a Sims expansion done what The Sims 3: Ambitions looks to do. The second expansion to EA's The Sims 3 gives players new career paths to choose from; Firefighter, Ghost Hunter, Inventor, Sculptor, Tattoo Artist, Scientist, Private Eye, Doctor or Stylist. But not only do you get to explore new job opportunities, but now you can actually follow your Sims to work and decide what kind of employee they actually are. “The variety of careers to choose from is unmatched and we’ve never given players the opportunity to follow their Sims to work and affect their actions on the job,” said Scott Evans, General Manager of The Sims Studio at EA. “The Sims 3 Ambitions changes that. Players’ actions at work now directly affect their lives, community and neighbours and become an extremely important part of how the game is played.” The Sims 3: Ambitions gives complete control over their Sims and their life. So for the first time ever you can now cultivate or destory your Sims lives how ever you see fit. Wanna be the next Wayne Szalinski? You can do it. Or maybe Dick Tracey, laying down the law with your square jaw and yellow trench coat? yup you can do that and more come June. Reader Comments
