RUMOR: Halo 3 to have 4-Player Co-op!
Posted: May 21, 2007 - 12:07 pm by Brandon
Last week we reported on the modders finding all kinds of supposed “new info” by digging through the Halo 3 Beta. Well it seems, by digging a little further, they found just a bit more.
Computer and Videogames.com had this to say on the news: By digging through the source data of the multiplayer beta, the modding community has been able to unlock a massive list of on-screen text for both Halo 3's multiplayer and single-player campaign. One fragment of text modders unearthed was this bombshell: "The game cannot start because all players are set to observer. Too many players for split screen. Only 2 players may play split screen coop on the same Xbox 360 console. The party size is too large to start the game. Up to 4 players may play coop on Xbox Live or System Link. Loading information from Xbox Live... This was actually a long standing rumor, that started way back during the Xbox 360’s launch days. I wouldn’t doubt that his one is true, but I guess we’ll have to wait and see. Keep it here!
