UPDATED: Amazon has switched the date back to Nov. 20. Rumor destroyed for now.

File this one under the rumors category as it seems that Amazon.com has updated their Rock Band page to now list August 11, 2008 as the release date. Rock Band was previously listed as releasing on Nov. 20, 2007 with all sorts of festivities planned to coincide with the launch.

Amazon has done a pretty good job at providing accurate information in the past but until there is an official announcement there is no reason to believe the newly updated date. If things change we will be sure to report the news. Stay tuned!
