Tech blog Primotechnology.com has "confirmed" that the upcoming BioWare MMO is going to be based in the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic universe. BioWare has long been working on an unannounced MMORPG with many rumors pointing towards Star Wars being the source.

The game is being developed by the company’s Austin studio, formed in 2006 and headed by BioWare Creative Director James Ohlen, whose past credits include the first KOTOR, Neverwinter Nights, and Baldur Gate’s I and II.

Now we have heard this rumor before so take this news with a grain of salt as nothing has been officially confirmed. With KOTOR being one of the most successful Star Wars titles ever it would make sense to see LucasArts put the title into the hands of BioWare.
