Gamespot has dropped the dime on the little news nugget that Sony has officially confirmed that God of War III is in development for the PS3 at SCEA's Santa Monica studio. In what was an official "Duh" moment, PSP God of War director Cory Barlog (not that Barlog) all but admitted to the third act in the God of War series earlier this year.

No further information was given at this time. If you didn't see this one coming, you need to get out now.
