With only about 2 weeks left in 2007, Nintendo is already pretty confident that the Nintendo DS is the #1 selling system of the year. Nintendo is reporting the sale more than 1 million total handheld and console units for the week of Black Friday.

With those numbers in hand, Nintendo today officially proclaimed the Nintendo DS as the #1 selling gaming device of 2007. The console maker says that it has sold more than 6 million units through November 30th.

Now if only they could get enough Wii consoles out into the market...
