E3 returns to the LA in 2008
Posted: December 18, 2007 - 5:58 pm by Matt

The Entertainment Software Association today announced that the E3 Media & Business Summit will be returning to the Los Angeles Convention Center for next year's event. The 2007 summit was held in Santa Monica with events scattered about as publishers held their own small events in suites at hotels and other small venues. Many complained that this setup took too much time, as one was spending valuable time commuting from one event to another.

The 2008 event will run from July 15 through July 17 with all participants housed under the same roof. The LA Convention Center serves as a perfect location, since it is near many hotels and has more than enough room to house the entire event.

Once again we can expect a toned down event. As with last year, attendance at all events, meetings and demonstrations will be invitation only. Media attendance will be by invitation only, with attending companies having a say in who gets invited. The ESA is planning for only 3,000 to 4,000 attendies.

We'll have more news on E3 as we get closer and closer to July.
