Last year both Wal-mart and Best Buy attempted to gain a foothold in GameStop's monopoly on used games by using kiosks provided by a company known as E-Play in a few test locations. However it looks like E-Play is finished and both retailers are ceasing their efforts to cash in on GameStop's business model.

The Pikachu-colored Pichu event at GameStop has just started and it would seem that the GameStop and Pokémon train can't be stopped. They recently announced that they are giving away another rare Pokémon, Jirachi. Just like the Pikachu-colored Pichu that is being offered now through February 14, Jirachi also holds a secret for the upcoming HeartGold and SoulSilver Pokémon titles. (more...)

Much like the retail releases this week, not a whole lot of good downloadable titles coming from Nintendo this week.  We are getting the final chapter of Tales of Monkey Island on WiiWare, as well as some bugs and solitaire.  On DSiWare, the same solitaire game, an express version of True Swing Golf, and the Morgost.  And on the Virtual Console, we get some Master System love with Alex Kidd in Shinobi World.
