It's that special time of year again! Microsoft is first up this year, and things are starting now! Check out our liveblog of the event after the jump! First up, we get some awesome Halo 4 gameplay footage! Our first look at FORERUNNER tech! There are some new visor modes as well! The Xbox 360 is now the number one selling system in the world. This year, Xbox entertainment is coming to phones, PCs, and tablets. Back to new game footage, and it is Splinter Cell Blacklist. Gameplay seems to be focused in the Middle East. And indeed, it is on the Iran/Iraq border. Trying to find the Blacklist to prevent attacks on American soil. It looks like Assassin's Creed: Splinter Cell. You use Kinect to lure enemy guards by calling out to them. Now on to Madden 13, made "better with Kinect". The greatest QB of all time, Joe Montana is on stage! You can call plays now by using Kinect. All it does is replace the standard button presses. Meh. And now it is on to the Kinect Fable game shown last year. Titled Fable: The Journey. Looks like a standard light gun title. Dude in the trailer threw a Hadouken. Now we get the first look at the new Gears of War title. Looks like a prequel. Out next year. New racing title being shown, featuring the authenticity of Forza, and combining it with games like Need for Speed. ANd of course, crappy dubstep music for the trailer. Forza Horizon, out October 23 of this year. This Fall, you can Bing voice search by movie genre. My God, this is turning into last year's E3 all over again. It's the Kinect Show, Pt. 2. New entertainment providers coming this year, all brought to you with the power of your voice! Nick, Paramount, Machinima, and Univision all coming to Xbox 360. Moving on to Sports now... Joining MLB.TV and UFC, is the NBA Game Time and NHL Gamecenter. These all require a subscription... jusy FYI WatchESPN is coming to Xbox this fall, meaning you won't be limited to ESPN 3 content anymore! That is awesome. Video package showing off Kinect and watching sports. Moving on to music... Zune is getting changed to Xbox Music. Crossing over to PCs, tablets, and phones. Package time. They need to pick mosic more appropriate for the audience. The future of fitness coming to Kinect. It's a program by Nike, to bring the same type of training that the pros get at the Nike campus. Nike believes "If you have a body, you are an athelete." They are bringing Nike + Kinect Training to the Xbox 360. You can even workout with people on Xbox Live. Naked jumping jacks, anyone? Now it looks like we are moving on to device connectivity. It's called Xbox Smartglass. It makes everything better. Pause a movie on your tablet, and start it up where you left off on another device, like the Xbox 360. Never have I seen that before. It then turns your other device into IMDB. It shows cast, or in the case of Game of THrones, and map showing you where things are happening. Producers and directors can make more content! For games, you can do things like pick your plays in Madden and draw your own plays, and then play the game with a touchscreen interface. Yuck. Halo 4 brings Halo Waypoint conntctivity on your tablet. And just like Nintendo announced with Wii U, you can have a remote for your Xbox. And now, you can use Kinect and Xbox Smartglass, you can browse the web on your Xbox.... with Internet Explorer. Hooray? Now we get a look at new footage from Tomb Raider. This game looks absolutely outstanding. Lots of things in the environment to use against the bad guys. Very cinematic, very action based. Looks VERY intense. Time for some new IPs and excluives. First up: Ascend: New Gods. It looks almost Shadow of the Collossus-like. Next is Twisted Pixel's new game: LocoCycle. With no gameplay shown. Final exclusive: Matter. Looks Cool. Made for Kinect. Damn. Resident Evil 6 time! Taking place somewhere with a lot of Asian text all over the signs... lol It looks more RE 4 than RE 5. Now are being shown a XBLA game that uses Kinect to wrect castles filled with goblins. It's a decent looking Angry Birds clone. Wrecketeer, or something like that. South Park RPG time! "Jews can't be saviors, remember?" Trey and Matt are here! Sweeeeeet. The first thing they do is rip on Xbox Smartglass. Awesome. This game is going to be great! Dance Central 3 being shown with Usher. Yawn. Last up, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. Looks like CoD. It will be fun if you like the series.
