Microsoft officially stops HD-DVD production
Posted: February 28, 2008 - 7:44 am by Jesse

Like we didn't see this one coming.  Microsoft has announced that they have officially discontinued the HD-DVD add-on drive for the Xbox 360.

Now for those of you who did purchase the peripheral, Microsoft will continue to support it's users by continuing to offer product and warranty support.

It really is unfortunate that the format was so short lived.  Microsoft swears up and down that this won't affect their business at all and I have to agree with them.

Now if your looking to purchase one of these bad boys, you're in luck.  The prices on these drives and HD-DVD movies are a steal.

You should have no problem in finding a HD-DVD 360 add-on for $60.
