Take Two Interactive announced yesterday that Gearbox Software’s upcoming title Borderlands has been officially delayed until 2009, and no exact new date has been given.

The title was originally supposed to be released in the holiday season this year, but according to Take Two the delay has been made to "allow additional develop time for the highly anticipated game and provide a better balance in the release of Take-Two’s triple-A titles."
