Monochromatic brain teaser Echochrome is already infecting the PSP in Japan as a download & UMD. Echochrome will see a US release in early May. It is not coming on the standard UMD though, it will be a $10 download on the Playstation Store.

This is very interesting, could we be seeing the death of UMDs for games? It's quite possible if you take a look at the price of 4GB & up memory sticks. It could be a way to battle piracy for all of us that sport custom firmwares our PSPs. Time will tell, but I would really rather buy memory sticks every so often than oddly shaped discs.
