Nintendo releases Wii 2007 release schedule
Posted: May 1, 2007 - 10:53 am by Lupe
May 1, 2007 (IGN) - Nintendo via publicly released financial documents has released the remainder of their planned 2007 release schedule.

It doesn't take much time to see that the big "N" is pulling out the big guns to ensure their return to global domination.

Donkey Kong Taru Jet Race (DK Jet or DK Bongo Blast, US) - June 28, 2007
Wii Health Pack -- 2007
Disaster: Day of Crisis - 2007
Mario Party 8 - 2007
Project H.A.M.M.E.R. - 2007
Wii Music - 2007
Super Mario Galaxy - 2007
Super Smash Bros. Brawl - 2007
Battalion Wars II - 2007
Forever Blue - 2007
Mario Strikers Charged - 2007
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption - 2007
Mario and Sonic at the Olympics - 2007

IGN made a good observation stating that Nintendo has historically stayed away from releasing too many of the big dogs in the same year. My analogy of the matter is that Reggie's finger prints are all over this new tactic. He's always shown to be an aggressive marketeer, and this is just his way of saying 'prepare to be assimilated'.

How do you feel about remakes and rereleases of older games?
It's a good way to introduce new and younger gamers to the classics.
It's just another way for companies to make a quick buck on nostalgia.
It's a great way to revisit old games I love.
I don't care about old games, bring on the next-gen!
