Saint's Row 2 DLC Pack#1
April 25, 2009 - 1:41 pm
on Thursday, the first download pack for SR2 was launched, Ultor Exposed. contents:

- 3 new missions
- new vehicles
- co-op meta game
- new multiplayer maps
- new outfits
- 5 achievements
- costs 800 points (10 bucks)

it's a pretty good pack, so far i've played through the new missions, bought the new clothes and whizzed around in the new vehicles. thoughts:

Missions:
the new missions involve you helping Tera Patrick (yes, the adult film star) expose (get it?) some horrid experiments she had to perform while working at Ultor (don't ask... i'm not). there's a few annoying chase-drive-shoot-at-the-same-time missions and the typical horribly placed checkpoints, and it's pretty short. but overall pretty decent with a humorous twist at the end of it all. you also unlock Tera as a teammate after completing the missions so if you've ever wanted to hang out with a porn star, this may be the closest you ever get without having to actually star in such movies yourself.

Outfits:
two words: Grey. Alien. two more words: KICK. ASS. astronaut suit is also cool. go to Let's Pretend in the Ultor Mall to get em.

Vehicles:
the new toys are great! my personal favourite is the EDF Scout from Red Faction. it's a two man light recon vehicle with an RPG launcher which can rapid-fire, makes Mayhem that much more fun but also more hectic because i racked up a 5-star cop rating in no time. oh, and you have to fight these in the missions. a new chopper, plane, and a few more fast cars are included, for when you need to get somewhere fast... and i mean FAST. the best part is you'll get all of them in your garages the moment you fire your saved game up.

and if you haven't tried SR2 yet... shame on you. if you like GTA4 but prefer mindless, over-the-top action, you'll love SR2.
it's not as pretty or polished but i still recommend it.

that is all.
end communication.
