Metal Gearathon.
June 30, 2008 - 4:17 pm
So a couple days ago I beat Metal Gear Solid 4. Amazing game, and well worth picking up a PS3 for. While I'm not going to spoil anything plot wise, for the folks that haven't had a chance to sit down and play this gem of a title. I will say, I felt the game wrapped the series up with a nice little bow, but it left me wanting even more of a Metal Gear fix. This brought me to loading up Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistance and playing through it. Which I actually never got around to finishing when it first came out...

I tend to do a series marathon about once a year, and I think this year it's gonna have to be Metal Gear. If all goes according to plan, I will be beating the entire series so I can retake in the storyline (in chronological order). As nice as it is to have the MGS4 Database on my PS3 and read about things, it's even better to get everything first hand (as confusing as the storyline is...) So once MGS3 is down, then follows Portable Ops and so on, including the MSX2 versions found on disc 2 of Subsistance.

I've been working on a MGS-athon for awhile. Haven't had a chance to play 3 for about a week, but I need to finish it so I can play 4.

Ya, I was thinking the same. But there is no way in hell I coulda let it sit on the shelf that long. lol. The hard part is gonna be going from Portable Ops to the 8 bit Metal Gear on Subsistance.

You guys should do something like the Mario marathon for Child's Play charity.

Just play all of the metal gear games straight in a row.

That would rock.
