New Video Card For Scoot
November 2, 2007 - 7:55 am
Over the past couple day's my PC has been acting funny. While I have been playing Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach, my video would suddenly blank out, which would subsequently make me have to do a hard restart on it..... (not a good thing I know...) So last night after I got home from Guitar Center and Gamestop at 8pm, I turned on my PC and to my surprise it loaded up in 640 x 480 mode and proceeded to crash. 'yay' The video card I had in my PC was a ATI Radeon X700 Pro 256mb, it's been in my computer for years. I had originally gotten it to replace another ATI video card which did the same thing as what I was experiancing the last couple days. So I figured, "It must be failed video card". After I decided my PC wasn't going to get any better, and figuring it was a video card problem, I quickly ran to Best Buy. I ended up getting an ATI Radeon X1050 256mb video card, what can I say... I like ATI. I got home, installed it and it worked like a charm. And my PC runs a lot quieter now for some reason, which I think has to do with the old video card's on board fan. Oh, well at least now I know my video card is Vista ready, haha. ~Scoot You must be logged in to comment.
