Enix Should Beef Ex-Death Sooner or Later
December 3, 2009 - 12:11 am

As much as I love using all Dissidia villains, there is one character that really irks me from start to finish. He's slow, he's mind is sorely focused on defending and he's got an armor worst than Adelbert Steiner of Final Fantasy IX.

Final Fantasy V's ExDeath is only bad guy that suffers from many in-game motions such as his slow movement speed and limited offensive skills. His bravery attacks such as Reverse Polarity proves to be useless as, the move teleports ExDeath to far away places compensating his turtle-like movements.

His blocks are also equippable abilities and the drawback of using his skills can literally take away time from a player who finished quick battles in a jiffy. HP attacks can be chained together with his blocks and, depending on the timing and skill used, a staggered opponent usually suffers from a sneaky Almagest attack.

Okay, what if I challenged a player who is very good at using Tidus? The blitzball ace can easily feign his strikes and can easily shake off ExDeath's sluggishness; or Garland, the Bardiche can tear apart this armor-clad baddy with a downward slash of his massive, multi-platform axe.

I've been up all day creating custom research papers through online forums, comments and contribution boxes, I find it very distracting to use reflexes as friend to power-level ExDeath against speedier characters like Onion Knight and Zidane.

For a sample of what I've been doing, see video here and react on how ExDeath quickly disposes off of Tidus. Here's a video of Exdeath disposing off Tidus in a very simple, effective manner.
